To minimize any potential fraudulent listings, Hunt Private waits until the conclusion of your experience before paying anyone. Should you show up at a property that was falsely advertised, notify us and we will refund your money. Also, hunters will not be charged until a landowner has accepted their booking request.

Refund Policy

To allow our landowners the most flexibility in managing their properties, we request that cancellations occur a minimum of 48 hours prior to the scheduled reservation in order to receive a full refund. Cancellations that happen within the 48-hour window are subject to forfeited funds. Should a landowner have to cancel the booking within the 48-hour window, the hunter will be refunded their money in full.

Some landowners may have their own cancellation policies. If the landowner's cancellation policy is posted and present at the time of the booking or is communicated to the sportsmen, the landowner's cancellation policy will take priority over Hunt Private's. Hunt Private's cancellation policy covers cancellations where a landowner cancellation is not applicable.

Don't forget that this is hunting. Success is not guaranteed. Having an unsuccessful hunt (meaning no game was successfully harvested) does not constitute the grounds for a refund.

Indemnification

By using our platform, hunters have agreed to indemnify and hold harmless both landowners and Hunt Private.

Q: How do I know the property I am booking is real and not fraudulent?

A: Hunt Private verifies all properties listed on our site. Should you show up to a booking that was fraudulently listed, please contact us at [email protected] and we will get your money refunded and investigate the property in question. Should it be fraudulent, we will remove this property.

Q: Will I be able to communicate with landowners and outfitters prior to my hunt?

A: Yes. At the bottom of each listing, you can contact the landowner directly to ask any questions you may have.

Q: Will the landowner meet me at check-in or check-out?

A: That is up to the landowner. Some landowners may opt to meet you in person to give you the lay of the land or open the gate for. Others may give you the all the information you need prior to your hunt.

Q: When will I be charged for a booking?

A: Hunters will not be charged until a landowner or outfitter accepts your request. Should you make a request and not hear back, you should not see any charges to your account. If you do, please reach out to [email protected] and we will get this fixed for you.

Q: Will I be able to review the property and landowner after my hunt?

A: You sure will. Hunt Private offers two-way reviews that are publicly visible. We encourage both landowners and hunters to write reviews about their experiences.

Q: What should I do if the landowner doesn’t say anything about check-out procedures?

A: Treat the property as if it were you own. Pick up all trash, clean up your area, don’t leave gates open, and show the utmost respect for their property. It is a privilege for people to book hunts on someone else’s property. Showing respect for their land is the best way to keep this privilege!
